Les Verts Living and Vancouver Botanical Gardens Association (VBGA) are proud to introduce a new display on indoor hydroponic gardening — now on view in the Discovery Room of the Visitor Centre at VanDusen Botanical Garden.

Designed for classroom learning, the EdRack Hydroponic System allows students to explore plant science, sustainability, food production, and technology through interactive, project-based experiences.

Students can follow crops from planting to harvest while developing skills in science, mathematics, and critical thinking.

While vertical growing systems are not a new idea in horticulture, until now they have typically been used for strawberries, lettuce, and vegetable seedlings.
