USA - INDIANA: Exciting To See The Grow Tents From anu™ (previously gropod) Being Harvested at Bedford Collab!

by DeAndre Wilson

As DeAndre Wilson mentioned, right now with the government shutdown, its harder than ever for anyone on SNAP to get access to nutritious, fresh produce.

Bedford Collab is deeply committed to ensuring equitable access to nutritious food for everyone. As a vital part of our region’s food supply chain, we’re advancing a healthier future through collaboration and innovation.

Here, our management team and community partners are pictured harvesting fresh produce from our anu™ growing tents, produce that grows 365 days a year and directly supports local food initiatives.

In light of the recent delays in SNAP benefits, we stand in solidarity with our community partners: Tri-State Food Bank, Inc., Young & Established, Feed Evansville, and many others who are meeting the urgent needs of our most vulnerable neighbors.

As a proud member of the Evansville Commission on Food Security, Bedford Collab is working closely with local agencies to create access points for both fresh and non-perishable foods during this “SNAP gap.” Our efforts also include raising awareness about programs that help families stretch and maximize their benefits throughout the year.

Today, we were honored to donate 21.5 pounds of fresh produce to Young & Established, with more distributions planned in the coming weeks.
