USA - NORTH DAKOTA: 55 Schools to Receive Grants For Hydroponic Farms
Fifty-five schools across North Dakota are receiving grants from the state’s Department of Agriculture (NDDA) to create hydroponic garden systems.
The NDDA offered its Farm to School hydroponics garden grant in order to help students learn about local food and how it’s grown.
USA - MICHIGAN: Ubly FFA Receives Glassbrook Grant to Expand Hands-On Agriculture Learning
The Ubly FFA Chapter was one of 11 schools awarded Glassbrook grant funding to support hands-on agricultural education.
The chapter wrote a grant to purchase Tower Gardens, a vertical farming and hydroponics system, for use in the school and greenhouse.

The freight container is not just a teaching tool but also provides fresh produce for students around the district.
Known as a Freight Farm, the container is filled with walls outfitted with equipment to water and nourish hundreds of plants, and lights to help them grow.
USA - OHIO: Hydroponics Program Growing at Buckeye Local High School
Buckeye Local Jr./Sr. High School is taking the term “farm to table” to new heights by establishing its own sustainable venture to supply freshly grown produce through its new hydroponics system.
The BLHS FFA and junior high building are housing three commercial-grade hydroponics towers that were acquired in November with a $35,000 Grow Ohio Grant from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.

Tolland Mushroom Farm Getting State Agriculture Grant
The Connecticut Department of Agriculture has announced recipients of the 2025 Farm Transition Grant to bolster agricultural production of both new and existing farm operations. More than $527,000 has been awarded to fund 29 projects throughout the state, including to a farm in Tolland.
Collinswood Mushrooms on Tolland Stage Road, via the New Farmer Microgrant, is to receive $4,450 to purchase climate control systems and shelving to outfit a mushroom fruiting chamber in a 40-ft shipping container.
"We are dedicated to strengthening the resilience of our agricultural community, and these awards represent a strategic investment in advancing that goal," Agriculture Commissioner Bryan P. Hurlburt said.
